Divya Delhi: Harassment of parents and students will not be accepted, and the Delhi government has instituted a "zero-tolerance policy" on capricious fee increases at schools. During a public meeting on Tuesday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was told by a group of parents that their children had been expelled from Queen Mary School in Model Town for demonstrating against unlawful fee increases. The Chief Minister is seen giving an official instructions to inform the school that its registration will be canceled in a video that she posted on X. According to the CM, schools are not allowed to intimidate pupils or raise tuition too much. "A matter involving Queen Mary School in Model Town came up during today's public conversation program. The parents of the children complained about improper money collecting and the removal of their children from the school. Taking prompt notice of this issue, the relevant authorities have been directed to look into it right now and take the appropriate, severe measures," she wrote on X. She emphasized the dedication of the Delhi government to equal opportunity, openness, and the defense of children's rights in the classroom. "Transparency, equal opportunity, and the defense of children's rights in the educational system are all priorities for the Delhi government. There will be no tolerance for any form of unfairness, exploitation, or irregularity; a Zero Tolerance policy has been implemented. "Every child should have access to justice, respect, and high-quality education—our resolve is clear," she continued.
