Divya Delhi : Three people from the YouTube channel "Jakrub" were taken into custody in Dhemaji in connection with the horrific slaughter of wild birds, which they had posted on their channel. Maheshwar Swargiary, Munindra Mushahary, and Shiviram Swargiary are the names of the accused. In the ecologically delicate Pitoni region, near the villages of Hastinapur and Kardoiguri, the three individuals allegedly went bird hunting and destroyed nests. Slingshots were employed to eliminate birds, and hundreds of eggs were plucked from their nests. Outrage ensued following the upload of the videos—which depicted the slaughter of birds and the destruction of their habitats—to their channel, which boasts 2.5k subscribers. Rahul Suresh Javir, the district commissioner of Dhemaji, has ordered the police and forest department to act immediately. Soon after, the three suspects were apprehended in accordance with the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 as a result of a combined effort by the forest department and the Simen Chapori police. The arrestees from Hastinapur were Mushahary and Maheshwar and Shiviram from Lamka village, respectively.
