Divya Delhi: The IMD issued a yellow signal for Mumbai Suburban, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts, warning of heavy rainfall. Mumbai is waterlogged after nearly three days of constant rain, and rains continue. The meteorological service has issued red and orange alerts for Nashik and Palghar. The city flooded due to heavy rain, interrupting daily life and canceling many local rail services. As water levels remain dangerously high in several regions, authorities warn commuters to check train timetables and travel carefully. IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air have not issued advisories today, suggesting they are on track. However, airlines warned customers that weather might affect aircraft operations, and some local rail services were hampered by waterlogging. These airlines typically warn of substantial rain-related flight interruptions. In the previous 24 hours, torrential rains and flooding in Maharashtra districts killed at least six persons, according to the Maharashtra Disaster Management Department.
