Divya Delhi: One of the largest cricket competitions in the world, the Indian Premier League (IPL) typically takes place between March and May. The Goods and Service Tax (GST) on IPL tickets has increased from 28% to 40%, which means that cricket fans who wish to attend the game will now have to pay more for their seats. This is one of the significant developments that has occurred. Only IPL matches are subject to the 40% GST; all other domestic and international cricket matches will still be subject to the regular 18% GST. This implies that IPL 2026 ticket costs will be significantly higher. They will now have to pay even more to watch their favorite stars play, despite the fact that thousands of fans attend every game. Previously priced at INR 640, a ticket for INR 500 will now cost INR 700. If a fan wishes to purchase a ticket for INR 2000, it will now cost INR 2800 (formerly INR 2560), and if it was for INR 1000, it would now cost INR 1400 (previously INR 1280).
