Divya Delhi:  According to a startling allegation from the US media, Donald Trump is constitutionally eligible to run for a third term in the White House. According to a 22nd Amendment loophole, a president may still become president by succession even though they are not allowed to be elected more than twice. Read more about this! The 22nd Amendment states that no individual may be "elected" president more than twice. It doesn't stop someone from taking over the position through succession, either. Trump may run for president again if he is elected vice president following his second term and his running companion steps down. The amendment does not specifically forbid anyone from using this tactic, according to legal experts. Trump may be able to stay in the White House into 2029 and possibly until 2037 if he sticks to this plan. For example, Trump might run for vice president in 2028, with JD Vance or another person at the top of the ticket. The outcome of the poll will determine what happens next. He might step down right after his inauguration and install Trump as president if Vance's ticket wins. According to the Daily Mail, this tactic would not go against the constitution's prohibition on being "elected" more than twice.
