Divya Delhi: Millions of Hindus across Bharat have been yearning for the freedom of all Hindu Temples, which have been illegally stolen by state governments for over 70 years and run by political appointees. One brave gesture by PM Narendra Modi to undo this ongoing injustice, which began under British control, would earn him and the BJP eternal admiration and a rightful claim to run the country. Temples are under hostile state governments, many of which are corrupt, desecrated, and usurp mobile and immovable property, so the Central Government cannot liberate them. For over 70 years, devotees, spiritual organizations, and isolated law-abiding politicians have petitioned courts to govern their houses of worship, which other religious communities enjoy. Unfortunately, judges have ignored Hindu devotees' petitions, leaving temples to suffer. This should not dissuade a resolute Central Government. There are efficient ways to force stubborn actors to submit even if the courts delay and the Constitution makes it a state matter. Congress's latest strategy can be emulated.
