Divya Delhi: ET Now reports that Titagarh Rail Systems Limited and BHEL would build 80 Vande Bharat Sleeper trains for Rs 24,000 crore. They will also maintain these trains for 35 years. Titagarh Rail Systems will build the trains at its new, modern factory in Uttarpara, Kolkata, West Bengal. India's first all-Indian long-distance semi-high-speed train is the Vande Bharat Sleeper. It will be more comfortable and have the newest safety features. The train will improve Indian intercity travel with its modern layout, smart technology, and energy-saving features. The Titagarh Rail systems factory in Uttarpara is crucial to this proposal. Indian rail manufacturing expanded with Industry 4.0 technologies and robotic production lines. This plant is the only one in the nation that makes stainless steel and aluminum coaches. Current production is 300 coaches per year, but this will rise to 850 to meet demand.
