Divya Delhi: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the country will observe Youm-i-Tashakur to commemorate the claim that Pakistan has given a befitting response to India and celebrate the purported success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. This comes at a time when Pakistan violated the ceasefire night after an understanding was reached between the DGMOs of the two countries for the stoppage of firing and military action. According to a statement issued by Shehbaz Sharif’s Office, Pakistan will mark the day to offer gratitude to God, pay tribute to the country’s armed forces, and appreciate the unity. The Dawn quoted the Pakistani PM as saying, “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos gave an effective and befitting response to the enemy’s aggression. Despite India’s aggression, Pakistan maintained its defence with resilience and demonstrated full readiness to deal with the situation.” He further added that the sacrifices of the armed forces of Pakistan will be remembered and that the entire nation stands united by their side.
