Divya Delhi: Delivering a record-breaking 103-minute speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined broad reforms and lofty missions to increase India’s economy, security, and technological self-reliance by 2047 in his 79th Independence Day address from the Red Fort. He broke his own record of 98 minutes set in 2024 and delivered his 12th consecutive Independence Day address.
1)The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be reformed by October 2025 to help consumers and small businesses by lowering taxes on basics and simplifying slabs.
2) One billion rupees The goal of the Yuva Rojgar Yojana, a program for young people looking for work, is to reach 3.5 crore beneficiaries by offering ₹15,000 to every eligible youth working in the private sector.
3)Indigenous Semiconductor Chips by 2025—to increase manufacturing of electronics while decreasing reliance on imports.
Protecting important, civilian, and sacred locations by the year 2035 using indigenous security technologies is the fourth objective of Mission Sudarshan Chakra.
Fifthly, to safeguard India's agricultural demands and water rights, the Indus Water Treaty must be reviewed.
6)Renewable Energy Objective: By 2030, produce half of our electricity from renewable sources.

In his speech marking India's centenary of independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi framed these initiatives as steps toward a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India). He cited modernization of the defense sector, economic independence, and self-sufficiency as the cornerstones of this journey.
