Divya Delhi: Party general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami  sacked veteran leader and MLA KA Sengottaiyan from all positions within the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) with immediate effect. Sengottaiyan, who was the Erode Suburban West District's District Secretary and District Organization Secretary, has lost both positions. "Thru. K.A. Sengottaiyan, M.L.A., who has been serving as the District Organization Secretary and District Secretary of the Erode Suburban West District in the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) Erode Suburban West District, is hereby relieved of these responsibilities with effect from today," the AIADMK stated in an official statement. The decision was made after Palaniswami met with seven senior party leaders at a Dindigul hotel earlier on Saturday. These leaders were former ministers Dindigul Srinivasan, Natham Viswanathan, KP Munusamy, SP Velumani, Kamaraj, OS Manian, and Vijayabaskar. The discussion lasted an hour.
