Divya Delhi: Coaching institutes in medical, engineering, and civil services work hard to establish themselves the finest. Some overstep by making untrue assertions. Vision IAS was fined Rs 3 lakh for falsely claiming its success rate and promoting misleading ads. This action teaches other coaching institutes not to break rules to get student business. The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) penalized UPSC tutoring institute Vision IAS for deceptive marketing about its Civil Services Examination success rate. The institute announced "10 in the top 10 selections in CSE 2020 from different programs" and uploaded photos of the winners. Vision IAS only described the foundation course for the first-place winner, not the nine other 2020 winners. Of the nine candidates, six picked the prelims and mains test series, two chose Abhyaas, and one took the foundation course.  The CCPA determined that the institute's selective disclosure misled students into thinking they all chose the same course. The CCPA said consumers needed comprehensive course information to choose an institute.
