Divya Delhi: TVS Motor Company raised total net profit by 41.4% to Rs 588.13 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2024, on record sales. TVS Motor Co. reported a net profit of Rs 415.93 crore in the same period last year. It noted that second-quarter revenue from operations was Rs 11,301.68 crore, up from Rs 9,932.82 crore the year before. The quarter under review saw expenses rise to Rs 10,427.64 crore from Rs 9,297.34 crore a year earlier. TVS Motor Co. reported its highest cumulative second-quarter sales of 12.28 lakh two- and three-wheelers, including exports, up 14% from 10.74 lakh units a year earlier. Motorcycle sales rose 14% to 5.60 lakh units in the quarter from 4.93 lakh last year. The business said scooter sales rose 17% to 4.90 lakh units from 4.20 lakh in the second quarter of FY24. Two-wheeler exports rose 16% to 2.78 lakh units from 2.39 lakh in the previous quarter.
