Divya Delhi: The Sangli region of Maharashtra was the scene of an alleged drugging and rape of a 22-year-old medical student who had her drink poisoned by two of her classmates and one of their acquaintances. According to a police officer, the three individuals in question were apprehended from Pune, Solapur, and Sangli, respectively. An official announced that the accused have been approved for police custody by the court until May 27. The MBBS student was allegedly the victim of a hate crime on May 18 at approximately 10 o'clock in the evening while she was out with the accused at the movies. To get her mind off of things, he whisked her away to a flat. Reports indicate that the defendant was intoxicated when he offered the victim a drink that had been tainted. The witness reported feeling euphoric after drinking the beverage to the authorities. Allegedly, three men, aged 20 to 22, sexually attacked her before telling her not to speak about it. Shortly after the incident concluded, the Belagavi survivor informed her parents about what had transpired, prompting them to visit the Vishrambag police station. They face a number of offenses, including gang rape, as outlined in the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. An investigation is currently underway as the police review the complainant's statement.
