Divya Delhi:  A possibly contentious political confrontation between the opposition INDIA coalition and the ruling BJP-led NDA government has been triggered by the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024. The Waqf Bill will be introduced in the Lok Sabha today, April 2, 2025, amid escalating political tensions. To clear the path for an important debate, the Congress and BJP parties have both despatched whips to their members of parliament to be in the House. After the question hour, the bill is anticipated to be tabled at noon. After the measure is tabulated, the house will hold a di Bilscussion for eight hours. Depending on the majority of people on the floor, the allocated time may be extended and the result may change. In the meantime, representatives of the INDIA bloc met in Parliament  and sharply criticized the Waqfl.
