It contains 67 tracks—41 upper and 26 lower. Two subsurface levels exist.Due to its size, the station loses 19,000 things annually. About 125,000 people ride 660 Metro North trains daily. The 48-acre terminal is modern and beautiful. Its majestic design attracts tourists and has hosted Hollywood films.A mysterious “secret platform” beneath the Waldorf Astoria Hotel is also at the station. This platform is claimed to have allowed Franklin D. Roosevelt to leave the hotel directly. This platform never served public travelers.
