Divya Delhi: Because of the continuing extreme heat in Kashmir, the annual Amarnath Yatra has been affected, and the famed natural ice Shiv-Lingam, a representation of Lord Shiva, has melted in the first ten days of the trip. The annual pilgrimage has been severely impacted by the high warmth in Kashmir, which is said to have accelerated the melting of the naturally formed ice Shiva Lingam in the Amarnath cave temple. The sacred emblem has nearly dissolved, according to pilgrims who returned from the holy cave today. There are just ten days left in the annual Amarnath Yatra, which started on July 3. The 12-to 15-foot-tall Shiva Lingam has reportedly melted down to its base, leaving in the sacred cave only the ice's symbolic representation of Lord Shiva's feet. Among the most recent instances of rapid melting on the Amarnath Yatra, this stands out. By July 12, more than 1.70 lakh worshippers had made their way to the sacred cave in the southern Himalayas, which is 3,880 meters high, even though the Shiva Lingam was not present. Even though the Lingam has melted, the faith of the pilgrims has not wavered in the 26 days remaining till the sacred journey. Even though the Lingam has melted, many pilgrims still come to pay their respects at the sacred spot. "Har Har Mahadev" and "Bam Bam Bhole" are chanted by thousands of pilgrims as they continue their pilgrimage to the sacred cave.
