At 7 o'clock this morning, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was 361, up significantly from 328 the day before. The city's air quality index (AQI) hit a three-year low on Diwali Day, coinciding with this development. On Diwali day in 2023, the AQI in Delhi was 218, in 2022 it was 312, in 2021 it was 382, in 2020 it was 414, in 2019 it was 337, in 2018 it was 281, in 2017 it was 319, and in 2016 it was 431. These figures are based on statistics from the Central Pollution Control Board. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) shows that air quality exceeded 390 and was near to 400 in numerous locations across the city, with some places recording AQI levels exceeding 380. A total of 398 rose across RK Puram.
