When the event happened, a Praneeth, a native of Meerpet, was enjoying his special day after traveling to Canada to pursue a master's degree. Praneeth went swimming early on Sunday morning but did not come back. Rescue personnel waited more than ten hours to get to the lake after local authorities were alerted, according to his father, A. Ravi. Later that evening, the corpse of Praneeth was found.Through Praneeth's brother's acquaintance, the family was informed of the news on Monday. They are working with friends and Canadian officials to arrange for his corpse to be repatriated. The father of Praneeth expressed deep sorrow at his son's passing. He arrived in Canada in 2019 to pursue his education, and his older brother joined in 2022. The family is requesting help from the government to speed up the process of returning their cherished kid to Hyderabad.
