Divya Delhi: After potentially taking IV fluids, a young doctor was found dead in a car outside Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. Police said the deceased, Dr. Joshua Samraj, a Salem postgraduate medical student working in Madurai, was having financial problems. After three days of seeing the car, locals in Poomparai's forest reported the body. Police found that the 29-year-old had given himself IV fluids in the car, indicating suicide. His car contained a suicide note that did not name anyone or explain his actions. Police were advised by his parents that he was depressed over personal relationships. A post-mortem was performed after the police took the body. They said that the autopsy will determine the cause of death. The doctor apologized to his family in the suicide note found in the automobile, but he did not blame anyone or give a reason. He was depressed about a relationship issue, his family said. Dr. Samraj was also found to be in debt, but the cause is unknown. After social media rumors that the doctor lost money from online gambling, police said, “We have not found any such detail in his suicide note, nor do his parents say so. We're investigating.”
