Divya Delhi: The CBFC remains wary of love locks. In this week's huge Hindi movie, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, the CBFC has trimmed a steamy liplock between Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor by 75 percent.Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt describes the current prudence as shocking but amusing: "It seems we are not eager to move forward. Love is naturally expressed through kisses. As a filmmaker, we would shoot long kisses in hopes of surviving the censors. It appears little has changed. ‘James Bond’ Daniel Craig and Ranbir Kapoor's kisses with their co-stars in Spectre and Tamasha were brutally cut to a ‘acceptable’ duration. The censor board chair, producer Pahlaj NihalaniReducing liplock felt logical at the moment. But eight years later, I wouldn't touch personal situations."Aamir Khan, who is known for having the longest kissing scene in Hindi cinema (with Karisma Kapoor) in Raja Hindustani, thinks that banning these kinds of scenes is silly. “I was criticized for that scene. Kissing are good ways to demonstrate love on television, in my opinion. Excellent alternative to depict two blossoms touching.”
