Divya Delhi: BJP leaders have called for a boycott of Kamal Haasan's films after his criticism of NEET and Sanatana Dharma. Due to his controversial Sanatana Dharma remarks, actor-politician Kamal Haasan has been threatened with death. At Suriya's Agaram Foundation's 15th anniversary, Haasan publicly criticized the central government's National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Calling it an “ill outcome of Sanatana Dharma” that ruined many potential doctors' hopes. Ravichandran, a TV actor, threatened to kill. Haasan, a Rajya Sabha MP and MNM founder, reminded the gathering, “In this war, only education can change the nation. The only weapon that can overthrow despotism and Sanatana. Avoid carrying other weapons. No other weapon works. Because uneducated majoritarians will overcome you.” Politicians immediately condemned his comments. The Tamil Nadu BJP has asked Hindus to boycott all Kamal Haasan films, even on OTT platforms. The BJP state secretary linked Haasan to Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, saying both have made statements about “destroying Sanatana Dharma.” In a social media video, Reddy said, "Udhayanidhi Stalin and now Kamal Haasan want to destroy Sanatana Dharma." Give them a lesson.”
