Divya Delhi: On June 23, 2022, in Mumbai, actress Shritama Mukherjee wed her longtime companion, Akash Sahni. She discussed post-marriage life in a recent interview. She stated, "It’s been a great roller coaster trip! Akash and I have been together for nearly a decade, first as friends, then as a partner, and now as spouses. We felt married for years, but made it formal two years ago. Life after marriage is good. We're having more fun now. We love to travel and enjoy nice dining together." Shritama said Akash gave them a dog-daughter named Stella before they wed. She said marriage entails duties, but it's easier for her now because she shares them with Akash. She lived alone and did everything before marriage, but now they work together. Shritama is also grateful for her in-laws, who help with chores and caring for Stella, allowing her and Akash to focus on their careers and enjoy life outdoors. Shritama said she didn't watch movies for inspiration but researched 70s-80s Bollywood dress, cosmetics, and hair for her music video with Kumar Sanu and Akriti Kakkar. She said Akriti had previously planned the concept, and they worked together to create the appearance that suited Shritama's personality best.
