Divya Delhi:  Days after America deported the first batch of 104 illegal Indian immigrants back to India, the second US military aircraft C17 Globemaster III purportedly carrying 119 Indian people landed at the Amritsar Airport early . According to rumors, a third batch with another 157 deportees is anticipated to arrive in Amritsar today, February 16, 2025. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann promised proper treatment and arrangements for immigrants. The Chief Minister further said the deportees would stay in Amritsar for a few hours before going home. 67 deportees are from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, 8 from Gujarat, 3 from Uttar Pradesh, 2 from Maharashtra and Rajasthan, and 1 from Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh, reports said. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said at a press conference, "Our kids are coming here anyway, so no one will go hungry. We'll make arrangements." We also arranged their stay. The Ministry of External Affairs has already booked their flights, so they will stay here for a few hours before going home. CM Mann opposed the Central Government's plan to land another plane at Amritsar airport, asking whether they want to disgrace Punjab. PM Modi said India is ready to take back its illegal immigrants from the US and stressed the need to end human trafficking.
