The film, starring two fresh actors, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, exceeded predictions and made Rs 20 crore on its first day in theaters, according to Sacnilk. Saiyaara is the fourth biggest opener of the year after Chhaava (Rs 31 cr), Sikandar (Rs 26 cr), and Housefull 5. The picture garnered good reviews, and early booking reports predicted a busy first day. No one expected Saiyaara's blockbuster start to its theatrical run, especially after the makers' advertising efforts. Aneet featured in Amazon Prime Video's Big Girls Don't Cry and Bollywood flick Salaam Venky before. Ahaan made his debut despite being photographed with his cousin Ananya Panday and other star kids. While Ahaan's success may have given the makers some theater footfall insurance, these statistics were surprising. The picture opened with over 7000 showings. The film's occupancy averaged 49.9% all day. The morning and afternoon shows had 35.51 percent and 46.62 percent, while the evening and night shows had 50.85 percent and 66.62 percent. The film had over 800 screenings in  and 650 in Mumbai, with 60 and 43 percent occupancy, respectively.
