Divya Delhi: Even as the Trump administration attempted to minimize the controversy—the US president himself calling the matter a “witch hunt” against his National Security Advisor Mike Waltz—the Atlantic magazine released the actual transcript of US attack plans on the Houthi rebels in Yemen that were shared by senior officials. As Waltz invited Jeffrey Goldberg, the magazine's editor-in-chief, to a discussion channel on the for-profit Signal messaging app, plans for a US strike were made public. "No locations," he wrote in a post on X, downplaying the announcement. No methodology or sources. "NO PLANS FOR WAR." he wrote. After the White House criticized Goldberg as a "liar" and insisted that no classified information was disclosed, the announcement was made on Wednesday. It had come to feel that "people should see the texts in order to reach their own conclusions," according to its report published.
