Divya Delhi: Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan has expressed immense pride in leading his team to the T20 World Cup semifinals, fulfilling a prediction made by legendary West Indian batsman Brian Lara. Lara had predicted that Afghanistan would reach the semifinals of the tournament, and Rashid revealed that the team's skipper met with the legend at a welcome party before the tournament began, telling him that they would not let him down.

Rashid credited the team's belief in their ability to make it to the semifinals after their upset win over New Zealand in the group stage. The team also defeated Australia and Bangladesh to secure their spot in the last four.
