Divya Delhi: Hard to think Section 375 lasts six years. That film affected me by making me explore a complex character and address consent and power issues. The film made them think, dispute, and fight about right and wrong, individuals tell me. We wanted to start a discourse.Producer Kumar Mangat, director Ajay Bahl, and the team for trusting me with such a brave story will always be appreciated.I am glad that Section 375 remains relevant as an obligation, not just a position. For me, #MenToo never gained enough attention. False charges or law abuse were seen as weakening women's protection, which was never the goal. The #MenToo movement never discredited real assault survivors. It meant accepting that justice should be gender-neutral. Both sides have victims—women harassed and men ruined by false allegations. Section 375 shown that the law may be abused and that we must discuss justice for survivors and innocents.Section 375 was the highlight of my career because Rohan Khurana made me fearless, taught me to embrace the grey, and never shy away from uncomfortable stories.Because we're afraid of offending, backlash, and box office losses. Discomfort is bad for business, hence films like Section 375 are rare. But that's why such pictures important. Best cinema holds a mirror and makes us reflect.
