Divya Delhi: An official said a 35-year-old Punjabi guy was arrested for allegedly lying to the Mumbai police control room about a "death threat" to Tiger Shroff. The Khar police station official said Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh falsely stated that a firearm and Rs 2 lakh'supari' (contract) were handed to some people to take out the 35-year-old actor. Punjab-born Singh informed the Mumbai police control room on Monday that a security agency was going to "kill" Shroff. Singh gave incorrect information to the control room, the official said, after the police investigated. The Mumbai police lodged a case against him in suburban Khar and contacted their Punjab counterparts, who detained Singh, he said. The officer said the suspects will go to Mumbai. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received repeated death threats. Last week, a "mentally unstable" man from a village in Gujarat's Vadodara district had issued a death threat to the 59-year-old actor, a Y-Plus-protectee. The Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp hotline received the threat.
