At the ‘Sadev Atal’ memorial in Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored former PM and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his sixth death anniversary on Friday. More officials, including union ministers and political party leaders, paid tribute. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a prominent politician and BJP founder. After a long illness, he died at AIIMS on August 16, 2018. He was PM three times—in 1996 and 1998–2004. December 25 is his birthday and ‘Good Governance Day.’ He received the Bharat Ratna in 2015. President Droupadi Murmu visited ‘Sadaiv Atal’ on Saturday to honor former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary.
