Divya Delhi: Rajasthan's political turmoil began after Jaisalmer government officer Shakur Khan was arrested for espionage for Pakistan. The state administration has escalated its inquiry into his charges and launched a probe of former cabinet minister Saleh Mohammad's conduct. Shakur Khan was sent on 7-day police remand by the CJM Court in Jaipur on Tuesday. He faces significant sedition, espionage, and 1923 Official Secrets Act allegations. After his arrest, Jaisalmer District Employment Office Assistant Administrative Officer Shakur Khan made some surprising discoveries. Investigations show that Mangaliya Ki Dhani, Jaisalmer resident Shakur Khan communicated with Pakistani embassy officials Ahsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish and Sohail Qamar. He had personal meetings at the embassy, secured a Pakistani visa, and visited Pakistan seven times with their support.
