PM Netanyahu laments the list of dead hostages that Israel will be releasing today.

Divya Delhi:  Israel just announced that it has acquired the list of hostages who have died and will be released. As Israel gets ready to return four dead captives, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was deeply saddened by the news and acknowledged that the day would be extremely painful for the nation. "Israel has received the list of deceased hostages that are scheduled to be released tomorrow, in accordance with the framework," the Israeli prime minister stated in an X post. Brig.-Gen. (Res.) Gal Hirsch, the Coordinator for the Hostages and the Missing, has provided the hostage families with updates through the representatives of the Netanyahu, however, emphasized the country's determination to make sure that tragedies like these never happen again. "Tomorrow will be a very difficult day for the State of Israel," Netanyahu declared. It was a day of shock and sorrow. We are returning four of our cherished hostages, who have passed away. "We embrace the families, and the entire nation's heart is torn," he continued. My heart is broken. Yours is, too. And the heart of the entire globe ought to be ripped because this illustrates what and who we are dealing with—monsters like these. We are in grief and grieving, but we are also committed to making sure that this doesn't happen again. After being held captive for 498 days, the Israel Defense Forces earlier declared that three hostages—Alexandre, Sagui, and Iair—had returned. The Israel Security Agency soldiers are accompanying the hostages as they return to Israeli land, the   stated. They will go through a preliminary medical examination when they arrive. "After 498 days, Alexandre, Sagui, and Iair are finally home," was written in a post shared on X. It stated in a different post that "IDF and ISA forces are currently accompanying the three returning hostages on their return to Israeli territory, where they will undergo an initial medical assessment." As the returning captives travel back to the State of Israel, they are greeted with salutes and hugs. It went on to say, "The Red Cross has informed us that three hostages have been moved to them and are en route to  forces in Gaza."
