Divya Delhi: Narendra Modi landed in Windhoek, Namibia's capital, on Wednesday morning (local time) for his first visit and India's third-ever Prime Ministerial visit to Namibia. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah invited PM Modi to Namibia for a state visit. The Prime Minister was greeted ceremoniously at Hosea Kutako International Airport. In the final phase of his travel, at the request of Namibian President H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, the Prime Minister will take a State travel to Namibia on July 9, 2025, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). First Prime Ministerial visit to Namibia and third Indian Prime Ministerial visit to Namibia.The Prime Minister will meet with President Nandi-Ndaitwah during the visit. Dr. Sam Nujoma, Namibia's first president and Founding Father, will be honored by the Prime Minister. The MEA said he will also address Namibia's Parliament. “The Prime Minister's visit reaffirms India's multifaceted and deep-rooted historical ties with Namibia,” it said.
