Divya Delhi: Narendra Modi arrived in Bangkok on Thursday, April 3, on a two-day visit. PM Modi was warmly welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit upon arrival. Sikhs performed Bhangra at Don Mueang airport upon his arrival.PM Modi also saw Ramakien, the Thai Ramayana, in Bangkok. The Prime Minister watched the artists play the epic on an ANI video, clearly enjoying it. In particular, PM Modi will attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit on Thursday evening. Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Bangladesh Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, and Myanmar military junta leader Min Aung Hlaing will also attend.As PM Modi entered Bangkok, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on X, “Special Maritime neighbours with shared civilizational bonds. Discussions with PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra @ingshin and the 6th BIMSTEC Summit await."After the performance, an artist expressed their joy, stating, "We are pleased to present Ramayana and Ramakien, combining Thai Classical and Bharatnatyam, to the PM and other distinguished guests."Narendra Modi announced his visit in an official statement earlier in the day."During my official visit, I will meet with Prime Minister Shinawatra and the Thai leadership to strengthen our long-standing cultural, philosophical, and spiritual ties," said the statement.
