PM Modi Says India And Ghana Share Colonial Scars But Unbroken Spirit In Ghana Parliament Address.

Divya Delh:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Parliament of Ghana, saying he was honored to speak in a democratic nation. He greeted Ghanaians on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians during his speech. Despite their colonial pasts, PM Modi said “our spirits have always remained free and fearless” in India and Ghana. He noted that the friendship between the two countries is “sweeter” than Ghana's Sugar Loaf Pineapple. He stated, “India and Ghana have suffered colonial rule, but our spirits have always been free and fearless. Strength and inspiration come from our rich ancestry...Our friendship tastes better than Sugar Loaf Pineapple.” He admired Ghanaians' friendliness and strength. PM Modi remarked, “As the representative of the world's largest democracy, I bring 1.4 billion Indians' goodwill and greetings. Ghana is called the Gold Coast for its warm and strong heart as well as its rich soil.
