Divya Delhi : On Environment Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 200 electric buses in Delhi. The Delhi government launched the e-buses to promote sustainable growth and clean urban mobility. The PM said the program will make Delhi greener. He added that this will increase Delhi residents' "Ease of Living." The PM wrote on X, “Building a clean and green Delhi! Flagged electric buses under a Delhi government program to promote sustainable development and clean urban mobility. Additionally, Delhi residents' ‘Ease of Living’ would improve.” For World Environment Day, CM Rekha Gupta stated that 280 electric buses will be added to the city's fleet by 2027 under a new electric vehicle policy. Gupta said Delhi will add 280 electric buses by 2027. Delhi will receive 280 electric buses. By 2027, all Delhi government buses will be electric. A new EV policy is also coming, she said. CM Gupta called the new buses a huge asset for Delhi, praising their comfort and security.
