Divya Delhi: At Pune Metro Section Launch, PM Modi Launches Rs 11,200 Cr Projects In Maharashtra.Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Rs 11,200 crore Maharashtra projects via video conference on Sunday. Pune's strong rains on September 26 forced him to cancel his visit.The Pune Metro Rail Project was completed when Prime Minister Modi virtually opened the District Court to Swargate section. Officials estimate the subterranean portion between District Court and Swargate costs Rs 1,810 crore.Modi also lay the foundation stone for the Rs 2,955 crore Swargate-Katraj Pune Metro Phase-1 extension. Officials say this 5.46-km southern extension is subterranean with three stations: Market Yard, Padmavati, and Katraj. Modi inaugurated Bidkin Industrial Area, a revolutionary 7,855-acre National Industrial Corridor Development Program project 20 km south of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra.
