Divya Delhi: At a security review meeting in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed on counter-terror measures. The gathering follows four extremist strikes in three days in the region. In the discussion with the National Security Advisor and other officials, Modi was briefed on J&K security. He was also informed of local administrative activities. The prime minister ordered officials to use all India's counter-terror tools. Modi addressed security forces and counter-terror activities with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. PM Modi assessed the UT situation with J&K L-G Manoj Sinha.  A second insurgent holed up in a village and a CRPF jawan died in an overnight gunbattle in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, authorities said Wednesday. A special police officer was injured hours later in Doda district's Kota Top region near Gandoh when terrorists opened fire on a police-paramilitary squad, the fourth such incident in Jammu since Sunday's pilgrim bus attack.  Police and security personnel in Jammu province have issued an alert and increased operations against terrorists who are on the run and have attacked in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda to divert attention from Rajouri and Poonch districts.
