Divya Delhi :CBSE XII 2024-25 Board Examinations are yet to commence from 15 February 2025. It’s time to revise all the important chapters of every subject of class XII in the eleventh hours. All the candidates of board examination of class XII have written Pre- boards as well as appeared in internal / external CBSE Board Practical’s too. So, this time when every student would definitely be in little nervousness owing to their forthcoming CBSE Board Examinations. In this situation, there is a dire need to prepare self-design revision plan for these Board examinations to overcome the situation of bewilderment. As we are aware that subject Physics generally makes everyone scared by reason of the improper planning or erroneous strategies while preparing this subject thoroughly throughout the academic year. Unlike other subjects, difference in learning Physics somewhat different from others, as every topic of Physics subject needs to be comprehended into its three aspects : understanding of topic, its conceptual based problems and then finally, a couple of numerical problems based on that topic. Now, if any student not prepared well
even then he / she can achieve excellent marks definitely in the board examination in Class XII Physics subject
through well planned revision tactics as given below:
1. CBSE Latest Physics Syllabus 2024-25: Student must have a copy of Latest Physics CBSE Syllabus 2024-
25. Also, mark important topics of the subject and prepare three aspects stated above.
2. Model Answer Technique: Emphasis has to be laid on model answers of the repeatedly asked
previous years board examination questions in every chapter so to reply correctly in short time during
final board examination of Physics.
3. Chapter wise Distribution of marks: Chapter wise high / low marks distribution must be known to4. Question Paper Design : Typology of questions for the CBSE examination in Physics has been divided
into three parts.
Part A ( Total marks 27) (Approx. 38%)– Questions based on recalling the facts, terms, basic
concepts, demonstrating the understanding of facts and interpreting, giving descriptions etc.
Part B ( Total marks 22 ) (Approx. 32%) – Application based Questions on the concept learnt.
Part C ( Total marks 21) (Approx. 30%)– ACE based Questions would be asked i.e. A stands for Analyse
– drive inference; C stands for Creativity- Compiling the information through new or alternative
solution; And finally, E stands for Evaluation – Making judgement from the given information;
5. Making Short Revision Notes: Now, it would be very difficult to make the short revision notes of all
topics of every chapter of Physics syllabus for the examination 2025. So, this would be a vital step by
every student to make the short / crispy revision notes of all important topics of chapters (
Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic
Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic waves, Dual nature of radiation and matter,
Atom and Nuclei, Optics and Electronic Devices ) followed by rigorous practice.
6. Preparation by NCERT Only: The student should not forget to practice all the solved numerical
problems given in the NCERT Book of Physics. They should also prepare all important questions in
the exercise of each chapter from NCERT.
7. Practice for the Diagram of important topic: It has been found that most of the students makecommonly mistakes in scratching the diagrams asked in question papers owing to lack of practice. The
few topics of Physics involving diagrams are Wheatstone Bridge, Moving Coil Galvanometer, AC
generator, Transformer , Rectifier , Binding Energy Curve etc. The students must practice all the
diagrams of few important Physics topics with labels as stated above.
8. Importance of Practical experiments: Practicals of Physics can’t be neglected so far. They make the
students to comprehend the theoretical concept of Physics meaningfully. Topics i.e. example
Wheatstone Bridge Experiment, Ohm’s law etc. both theoretical as well as practical in Physics
Curriculum of class XII carrying questions How / What / Why /If can be properly understood through
Practicals done in Physics laboratory. So, the students must also prepare the Physics Practicals for the
Practical examination in true sense and spirit.
9. List of special highlighting topics: There are few important suggestive topics for the preparation of
Physics as : Gauss's theorem and its applications , torque on a dipole in uniform electric field, electric
potential due to a dipole, capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor with and without dielectric
medium, energy stored in a capacitor, drift velocity, mobility, temperature dependence of
resistance, Kirchhoff's rules, Wheatstone bridge, Biot - Savart law and its application,
Ampere's law and its applications, moving coil galvanometer, Magnetic properties of
materials- Para-, dia- and ferro - magnetic substances, Lenz's Law, Self and mutual induction,LCR series circuit, power in AC circuits, power factor, wattless current, AC generator,
Transformer, displacement current ,Electromagnetic spectrum, total internal reflection, mirror
formula ,lens maker’s formula, Microscopes and astronomical telescopes, Proof of laws of
reflection and refraction using Huygen’s Principle, Young's double slit experiment, diffraction
due to a single slit, Einstein's photoelectric equation, de-Broglie relation, Bohr model of
hydrogen atom - radius, velocity and energy of electron in nth orbit, hydrogen line spectra,
mass defect; binding energy per nucleon and its variation with mass number; Semiconductor
diode - I-V characteristics , diode as a rectifier etc.
10.Success Mantra: Wisely Revision Plan forever ensures SUCCESS with flying colours in every
examination. So, never forget this MANTRA in the revision of Physics too. Regular revision with a
planned revision strategy including daily and weekly basis using mind mapping / making slip
notes etc. definitely build confidence in every student to tackle any question in examination
of Physics subject of class XII.
11.Few suggestions before sum-up:
Always take a couple of short breaks during preparation of Physics subject for long
reading time.
Avoid late night study because proper sleep shall make you fit and fine for next day
preparation of subject with fresh mind set.
Not to follow last minutes mugging up all the new topics of Physics which further result
increase in chances of forgetfulness of already prepared topics for the CBSE examination
of Physics.
Never strive to learn the entire syllabus of this subject before its examination. The student
may get low score due to increase in a sense of demotivation in itself. Avoid junk stuff during the preparation of examination as well as before the Physics exam
in order to keep your body and brain healthy.
Always make a proper organised study plan for your CBSE Physics examination and
must follow your study routine enabling to score best marks in Physics examination.
Never invest your precious time to social media in your daily routine to avoid distraction.
Also include time of any sport / game of your interest in the strategy of your revision.
Depending on the general routine / need, the student may follow his tactics of learning /
revision so as to enable him learn his best. Mainly, the target is to fetch the best result in
the form of more scoring in CBSE examination of Physics subject. Finally, after great discussion on the scoring excellent marks through last minutes planning
before the CBSE examination of Physics, if all the students follow the abovementioned suggestions
in their daily routine before appearing in CBSE examination of Physics equipping themselves
through a rigorous planned chapter wise important topics revision along with follow-up so as to
make themselves to tackle any annoying situation of examination of Physics like a Brave Soldier
who prepares himself striving hard to taste victory ALWAYS in any wicked situation of battle followed
by a strict daily training schedule..
In short, the power of full confidence of preparation of Physics subject before the day of CBSE
examination would definitely open up the way of scoring GREAT MARKS ACIEVEMENT in the
CBSE examination of Physics.
