Divya Delhi: Pioneer Convent Senior Secondary School, Loknayakpuram, Delhi, held its Annual and Sports Meet “UMANG” on December 14, 2024, bringing students and faculty together for a day of athleticism, camaraderie, and rivalry. Former Indian cricketer and Indian National Cricket Coach Shri Madan Lal Udhouram Sharma presided over the event, along with other eminent guests. Shri Madan Lal helped India win the 1983 World Cup. An amazing opening ceremony included a Pioneerians Grand March Past. The school's distinguished chair, Dr. Tarun Bajaj, attended. Dr. Seema Bajai, honorable Principal, gave the sports torch to Sawan, the sports captain, who gave it to the school's athletes. Sport Day featured track and field competitions to showcase kids' athleticism across age divisions. When kids perform well and win awards for their academic and extracurricular achievements, it is a time of celebration, joy, and feast. From exhilarating Aerobics and Lazium to strategic Pyramid and Yoga. Some enthusiastic activities included relay, commando, and parachute races. Principal Dr. Seema Bajaj welcomed all dignitaries. As the program ended, the Cultural program and Sports Events awed and educated the crowd. Group Dance on Patriotism and its Peak, Hanuman Stuti, Folk Dance by adorable kids, and Closing Band Performance were the events. The entire sporting event showed the student's craftsmanship and sportsmanship. The event ended with a prize distribution ceremony rewarding top athletes. Principal Dr. Seema Bajaj read the yearly report on academics, athletics, and extracurriculars. In her vote of gratitude, school Vice-Principal Mrs. Kamlesh Kaur commented on the students' achievements and stressed the importance of athletics in teaching discipline, collaboration, and resilience.
