Divya Delhi: Pioneer Convent Senior Secondary School commemorated India's 79th Independence Day with pride. The school was filled with tricolors and student and staff joy. Dr. Seema Bajaj, Principal, and the teaching and non-teaching personnel unfurled the national flag to start the celebration. The crowd proudly sang the National Anthem, fostering unity and pride.
The cultural presentation began with pre-primary and primary wing kids performing a patriotic combination of songs and dances that honored the nation's liberation fighters. Their purity and excitement made the audience applaud. Middle Wing students performed a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak (street play) on patriotism, social responsibility, and citizen participation in nation-building to enhance the celebration. Rich in expressions and powerful sentiments, the performance made the audience consider their national duty. Dr. Seema Bajaj praised the kids' energetic performances and encouraged them to uphold national ideals like unity, integrity, and patriotism. She emphasized that true freedom requires respecting others' rights and performing responsibilities as a citizen. After Vice Principal Ma'am Kamlesh Kaur's vote of appreciation, the school community felt renewed patriotism and dedication to the motherland.
