Divya Delhi: After years of denial, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confessed that India's ballistic missiles hit Nur Khan Airbase and other critical facilities on May 10. Islamabad usually denies and contradicts Indian military operations, but this unusual recognition is a major change. Sharif told a public event in Islamabad on Friday that Pak Army Chief General Asim Munir contacted him at 2:30 am to report the strikes. The Pakistani Air Force responded using indigenous technology and Chinese fighters, although Sharif claimed that India's missiles hit Nur Khan Airbase and other vital locations. BJP leader Amit Malviya noted Sharif's admission that Indian missiles attacked Nur Khan Airbase and other regions after Geo News broadcast his statements. "Let that sink in—the Prime Minister was woken up at night with news of strikes deep inside Pakistan," he wrote. Operation Sindoor's magnitude, precision, and daring are evident.” Operation Sindoor followed the April 22 Pahalgam incident that killed 26 civilians. Indian soldiers targeted nine significant terrorist facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The strikes killed about 100 Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists.
