Top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Altaf Lalli was killed in Bandipora after an army-terrorist firefight. Two police officers were also shot, according to official sources. The injured cops were promptly sent to a neighboring hospital for stable care. The high-stakes operation is part of ongoing efforts to find LeT terrorists suspected of the April 22 Pahalgam terror assault that killed 26 people, predominantly tourists. IED blasts in Anantnag and Awantipora damaged Local terrorists Adil Thokar and Asif Shaikh's homes last night. Both individuals are suspected of aiding Pakistani militants in the April 22 Baisaran incident. Army officials said a suspicious box with wires was located in Asif Sheikh's Moghama home. After Indian Army RR Engineers confirmed it, it was dismantled in situ and exploded. Explosions destroyed the house partially. No one was killed when the area was cleaned and neighboring residences evacuated. An exchange of fire between forces and militants in Kulnar, Bazipora, north Kashmir's Bandipora district injured two security personnel. Anantnag Police are offering Rs 20 lakh for information that leads to the arrest of three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) members: Adil Hussain Thokar, Ali Bhai, and Hashim Musa.
