Over 200 Sick After Navratri Kuttu Atta Consumption; Chirag Paswan Reacts

DivyaDelhi: After consuming Kuttu atta (buckwheat flour) during Navratri fasting in northwest Delhi, over 200 people got sick. Police reported the disease at Jahangirpuri, Mahendra Park, Samaypur, Bhalswa Dairy, Lal Bagh, and Swaroop Nagar in northwest Delhi. According to authorities, patients were stable and no serious cases occurred.The Jahangirpuri police station got reports of several individuals becoming sick after eating Kuttu atta (buckwheat flour) during Navratri.Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan pledged an investigation into the food poisoning incident in northwest Delhi that affected 200 persons who ate buckwheat flour (‘kuttu ka atta’) during Navratri.This is not my ministry's responsibility. Assuming such difficulties arise, we must investigate. We won't compromise on processed food quality," he stated following the mass illness reported.Kuttu (buckwheat) flour caused dizziness, vomiting, and loose movements in many Jahangirpuri residents, who were transported to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. Police received reports of restlessness, vomiting, loose motion, and dizziness in the morning, and 150 to 200 patients have been admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital's emergency rooms. After the food department called, government officers began investigating.
