Divya Delhi: My childhood dream was to be a journalist. I did magazine guest interviews with my Dad and his colleagues. I always wanted to be creative. I suppose I still do that. I'm nothing like that. Television was unplanned. At 17, I realized I was wasting my life. I worked in a company doing almost nothing. My father met Ketan Somaiya in London. His TV channel was TV Asia. He advised my dad to build channel software. I was hesitant when Dad suggested it after returning to India. Never saw a future for myself. I was a couch potato. Previously, I watched TV all day. It was essential to my life. I still enjoy my favorite shows. I record them to view later while working. Working with what I liked must have appeared reasonable. Made some pilots. After Zee bought Ketan Somaiya's channel, the deal fell through. I was a large, pampered child with numerous pilots made with my father's money and nothing to do. I thought I was worthless at this time. I felt guilty for wasting my Dad's money. First pilots included Mano Ya Na Mano and Captain House. Finally, they clicked.
