NHAI Gets Approval For 8.5 km Elevated Greenfield Expressway From Jewar Airport To Faridabad

Divya Delhi:  The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has gained authority to build an elevated 8.5-kilometer portion of the Rs1,650 crore Greenfield Expressway from Faridabad to Jewar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. This addition may raise the total cost to 48%, or Rs 2,450 crore. The elevated stretch will connect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with city infrastructure, and pillar work has commenced near Sector 65. Before execution can begin, NHAI and the state government must agree on shared finance. The Bharatmala Pariyojana's six-lane expressway runs 22 kilometers from Ballabhgarh to Dayanatpur hamlet in Jewar, passing via Chandawali, Sotai, Bahbalpur, Phaphunda, Panhera Khurd, Narhawali, Mahmadpur, Hirapur, Mohna, and Chhainsa villages Faridabad-Jewar road connectivity and economic growth are the goals of the development project. According to The Tribune, NHAI Project Director Dhiraj Singh said, “The additional budget required for it is yet to be revealed. It may be shared by NHAI and the state.”
