Divya Delhi:  The National Education Policy promises a new approach to teaching and learning by revising the curriculum, assessment standards, and regulations. Research estimates that children develop 85% of their brains by age six. The new 5+3+3+4 formula provides a solid foundation with five years of fundamental learning followed by regularly assessed academic growth through preparatory, middle, and secondary levels. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's continuous attempts to modernize education led to NEP 2020, which will encourage in-depth study over rote learning. The Tamil Nadu DMK government has been claiming that the three-language formula is a plan to impose Hindi. Does NEP mandate Hindi? No. Why is the DMK shamelessly lying? Stalin has no governing record. Lawlessness, Sanatana Dharma attacks, and rampant corruption have characterised his tenure as chief minister. Stalin's debt of over Rs 8.3 lakh crore has driven Tamil Nadu's economy to the brink. Most of Stalin's administration saw Tamil Nadu's inflation far above the national average. The chief minister opposes the NEP to polarize the North-South dispute for political gain. The 1968 NEP introduced the three-language formula, which NEP 2020 has only resurrected. The DMK's concerns of a clandestine Hindi introduction are false. Hindi was proposed as a national language in the earlier NEP. Hindi-speaking states had to teach Hindi, English, and a modern Indian language, preferably a south Indian one, whereas non-Hindi-speaking states had to teach the local regional language, Hindi, and English. In contrast, NEP 2020 gives states more flexibility and does not impose language. “The three-language formula will be more flexible, and no state will be forced to speak one language. States, regions, and students can choose the three languages children learn, as long as at least two are native to India "reads the applicable policy. In addition to the state language, children would have to acquire at least one Indian language, not necessarily Hindi. Nobody forces a language on a state or society.
