The documentary's producers claim Chandramukhi footage was utilized without permission. They seek damages of ₹5 crore and a permanent injunction on clip usage. In response to the lawsuit, the Madras High Court notified Netflix and the production business. Dhanush had already sued Nayanthara and the producing business for using footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Netflix may keep Nayanthara's self-congratulatory docu-film or remove it.
