I've made hundreds of films, many of which have endured. Others haven't. I treasure all my flicks. If you insist on naming key films, I'd choose Mrinal Sen's Mrigaya, Disco Dancer, which was a phenomenon in Russia, and Hum Paanch, where I was noticed among so many famous actors. Mithunda never feared competition. I don't worry about the competition. I've always felt producers and directors would find me. Not to be pompous, but Mithun Chakraborty is indispensable. Many actors are better than me. But Mithun is unique.” When asked about his future, Mithunda responds, “I never planned anything. Acting was never my goal. I never expected to last so long. So many trends have come and gone. Generations of fans love me by God's grace. When they notice, appreciate, and love me, I feel fulfilled.”
