Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited, the company's Indian affiliate, reportedly purchased 66,414.5 square meters (16.4 acres) of premium property in Hinjewadi, Pune, according to the registration paperwork that Square Yards inspected. In August 2024, the land acquisition from Indo Global Infotech City LLP was documented in the deal. A Rs. 30,000 registration charge and Rs. 31.18 crore in stamp duty were associated with the sale. Furthermore, Microsoft initiated a significant skill-building program in India at the beginning of 2024 with the goal of providing 2 million people with digital and AI capabilities by the end of 2025.
