MCG's Hero Declining – Does Nitish Kumar Reddy's Poor Form Concern You?

Divya Delhi:  Nitish Kumar Reddy, a youthful all-rounder, lit up SRH camp last year with his batting and bowling. Indian cricket's brightest young stars included Reddy. A stunning hundred at MCG in Australia showed crisp skill, fearlessness, and a particular character. All-rounder who changes games. However, Nitish Kumar Reddy has struggled this season. He hasn't bowled a single over and his batting strike rate has plummeted drastically. Nitish's stats have changed drastically from last year. Nitish surprised with 303 runs in 11 matches at 142.9, 33.67, and two fifties in the 2024 IPL. In the 2025 IPL, he scored 133 runs in 7 matches at 109.9 and 19 on average. This is the most aggravating part because if we're looking for long-term backups for Hardik Pandya, shouldn't we be developing Nitish? Without young all-rounders to bowl, how do we construct a bench? Nitish was skilled, mature, and exposed. The promise is too big to ignore, so hopefully this is only a temporary setback.
